In the summer transfer window Manchester United were so desperate to buy the German striker Thomas Muller from Bayern Munich , so they made two huge bids for him . The first bid was for 55 , fifty five million pounds and the second bid was for 65 , sixty five million pounds. So both added up to a huge sum of 120 million pounds. But both were flatly rejected by the German giants.
