Did cost a huge amount of money , and they had to pay very huge interest on that loan as well.They were then forced to sell their best players as well, and Arsene Wenger sold many of them to Manchester City, to generate funds. But what we must remember here is even selling players regularly Arsenal played each year in the Champion League for seventeen years. And mind you the stadium was built at the time of the world recession. I ask you all how many clubs could do this, the answer is not many. Now all the money for the loan is all paid up, Arsenal need not sell a single player, but can buy players and win the E.P.L as well.
