Steven Gerrard the Liverpool captain has always been few of those one club players. He has been at Liverpool since a boy and has now played well over six hunred matches for Liverpool.
He is now thirty three years old, the new contract will take him well past his thirty fifth birthday , trully we can see this is his last contract , or unless he plays for another few years.
His loyalty to Liverpool and England have been really great, not like some of the mercenaries of today.
He falls into footballers of class , skill and loyalty.
The others are Franseco Totti, Roma, Javier Zanetti Inter Milan, Poalo Maaldini A.C.Milan.
But it is sad Liverpool with this new contract Liverpool are still paying Steven Gerrard a weekly salary of 140,000 pounds, they could have easily made it 150,000 pounds.
