Manchester City were knocked out of the Champion league again for the second year running.They may not play in the Europa Cup.. All their big spending and buying the cream of footballers from Europe, South America and Africa as well, has not at all helped.Even paying several players over 200,000 pounds a week , City have failed once again to do well in the champion league.Doing well and winning a F.A cup and the E.P.L on goal difference is not going to be enough. Manchester City even have failed to win a single match in the qualifying round as well, the worst show ever by a English club in the champion league. The entire value of the players at Citys squad was a huge 320 million pounds. And this is the worst show by a English club ever.Chelsea have not done better either, so money does not buy you trophies. Chelsea are the reigning champions , to be knocked out in the first round. Manchester City have just collected 3 points in all their matches in the champion league round.The lowest by a English club ever.
