The Carling cup has a curse, the winners usually do not win the E.P.L. the following year.and the finalists do suffer.
Take this years finalists in the Carling cup Arsenal verses Birmingham City.Till both these clubs were doing very well.But arsenal lost the final to Birmingham city in a horrible mix up in the injury time of the match. martins scored from a failure to clear.
But after that the form of both these clubs have dipped alarmingly.
Arsenal have won just two of fourteen games played.And may end up finishing fourth.
Birmingham city are doing just as badly , they are now 17th in the E.P.L.About to be sucked into the relegation battle, and goal difference may come in the picture.
