1930 WORLD CUP SURVIVOR FRANSESCO VARALLO DIES AT 100 YEARS.

The last survivor of the first world cup held in Uruguay died in Argentina , Mr Fransisco Varallo died at the ripe old age of 100years. He played in the final match Argentina verses Uruguay which Uruguay won 4-2. Mr Varallo scored 194 goals for his club Boco Juniors, this record was broken this year only by Martin Palermo. His pet name was canoncito The little cannon , because of his powerful shots.
In an interview with F.I.F.A to mark his hundredth birthday this year . Varallo said the loss to Uruguay was his biggest disappointment , and he still cried over it, we started well but lost steam later on.
he retired at thirty years due to a injury. and was club coach of Bo co Juniors lower division , and also with club Gimnasta.
