Wayne Rooney the 24 year old striker is very much in demand, mainly by the two Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. Rooneys new contract at Manchester united has not yet started, the main stumbling block is that Rooney wants a weekly salary of 140,000 pounds a week. It is a huge amount for a Club who is in deep financial trouble to pay . Barcelona are willing to pay Wayne Rooney 8 million pounds a year , after tax.And also a weekly salary of 200,000 pounds a week. This can not be matched by Manchester United now.
But the real challenger is Real madrid, Florentino Perz is a man who gets what he wants. And selling Rooney will help Manchester make a profit next year.
But if the new law comes into place Manchester united can not take part in the champion league if they fail to balance their books for three years.
