The Spanish giants Barcelona are planning to offer Manchester United a record amount for a player ever offered, they are willing to splash out a total of 85 million pounds for the Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, this is 5 million more then what Real Madrid paid for Christiano Ronaldo.It was 80 million pounds for Ronaldo.
This clearly shows that the finances are in a total mess . The Glazer family had taken loans to buy the club , and most of the money they make are used to pay the interest and the sale of Ronaldo did not help the club at all, as you may have noticed that in the summer only Antonio Valencia was brought for a big amount. Michael Owen came free from Newcastle United.
The big question is will Rooney be willing to go to Spain?As his wife Coleen just had a baby this month.
Will Ferguson let Rooney go?As he has been a proven goal scorer at both Everton and Manchester United. Berbatov and Owen will not score 25 goals each year like Ronaldo and Rooney do.
