MANAGERS WHO FAILED TO BUY FOOTBALLERS.

Over the years, there are cases where the managers of famous clubs have failed to buy footballers for some reason or the other. This is the case of the DUTCH goalkeeper EDWIN VAN DERSAR. Sir Alex Ferguson openly admitted that he made a major blunder by not buying Edwin Van Dersar. Edwin was the first choice goalkeeper at Ajax Amsterdam, fromthe year1992 to 1999. He then went to Jueventus in Italy to become the first ever non Italiangoalkeeper, from the year1999 to 2001. Juventus then brought Gianlugi Buffon from PARMA,for a sum of 32.4 million dollars, making him the costliest goalkeeper in the world. It was here that Ferguson failed to buy Edwin Van Dersar. Fulham then grabed Edwin Van Dersar, who was then on afive year contractfrom,2001 to 2005.
Manchester United had to survive with Fabian Barthez, the French goalkeeper and also the American goalkeeper Tim Howard. Manchester United brought Edwin Van Dersar in the year 2005. Five years were lost. Now as he is Thirty eight years old he is more frequently injured, and misses a few games.
